We have been involved with Dales Ponies since 2004, when we purchased our foundation herd from Peggy and Murray Lovell in Alberta, Canada. Colliery Alick, a 1996 licensed stallion imported from the famed Colliery stud in the UK, was brought to California, along with Redprairie Rose, the first Dales foaled in the United States at Blooming Dales Pony Farm in Sheridan, Oregon, and Bickerdike by Design, a 2002 filly bred by the Lovells in Edson, Alberta. In 2011, we purchased Canadale Black Magic, Bickerdike Canadian Storm, and Bickerdike Expresso Magic also from the Lovells and Sterlings Total Eclipse in 2016 from Adrienne Grasso’s Sterling Farms.

Although we have greatly reduced our breeding program, frozen semen from Colliery Alick, a 5-time Grand Champion Mountain and Moorland Pony under UK judges, is still available via private treaty for purebred Dales mares. If you are interested in a Dales foal, contact us to discuss the possibility of breeding a foal just for you.

Although selling ponies turned out not to be our passion, showing, competing, promoting, and writing about the breed remains of great interest to us. We encourage you to explore our Web site and contact us with any questions you may have about the Dales Pony or any of the Mountain and Moorland (M&M) breeds. We appreciate your interest in this rare and very special pony!
